BANK VIEW HIGH SCHOOL
Easter Newsletter
Another successful term is coming to a close. Pupils and staff have continued to work hard and are now looking forward to the Easter break.
This term we have focussed heavily upon improving attendance on both sites and there have been some signs of improvement. For your information, I have attached a letter relating to attendance, highlighting the fact that taking family holidays in term time should be discouraged.
I thank you for your continued support and look forward to working with you in the Summer.
Best wishes.

Charity Donations
The pupils on the North Site raised £65.00 for Non Uniform Day – last day of term Friday, 9 February. The pupils on the South Site also raised £75.34. The money has been put into school funds to help buy merit prizes and other items for school use.
Well done to both sites.
Lost Property
There are a number of coats in Lost Property on the North Site, none of which has a child’s name in. If your child has lost their coat, could you please ask them to look in the School Hall.
Could we also ask that all your children’s clothing be labelled with their name.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Merseyside Schools Football Tournament – 9 February 2007
Bank View South entered a boys team and a girls team in this tournament. Each team played in a league of 5 teams. Both the girls team and the boys team won their league and so qualified for the final.
The girls final was played first but unfortunately they lost 4-0 in the final to Crosby High who they beat 1-0 in the league game.
The boys team played Ashley School from Widnes who had won the other boys league. We were 2-0 down but came back to win 3-2, scoring the winner in the last few seconds. Congratulations to those teams who both received medals for being in the final.
Bank View South v Bank View North
Pupils from Key Stage 3 took part in a very entertaining game of football. The game was played in a good spirit and the referee did not have to blow the whistle once for a foul.
The North site started well and were soon two goals in front. The South site woke up and got back in the game at 2-2.
It was end to end football and the South site came out eventually as winners.
A pleasant sunny afternoon with football to match the weather. It was enjoyed by both players and spectators. Well done!
