CHRISTMAS
NEWSLETTER
Dear Parents/Carers
It is now that time of year again when the school is very busy with Christmas events and activities. The staff stress levels are slowly rising but a lot of quality work on school concerts and productions is still being achieved!
The amalgamation of the two schools has gone very well and is thanks to pupils, staff, parents and governors who have all pulled together as a team to ensure its success.
I
would like to thank all parents/carers for their support in 2006 and on behalf
of the school wish you all a Happy Christmas and New Year.
I look forward to working with you in the future.
I R WRIGHT
Headteacher

We have in the past sponsored a little Pilipino girl. Recently she has moved and the support programme have lost touch with her and her family. We have now been sent details of another little girl whom the school will now sponsor. Her name is Bea and she is 4 years of age. A cheque for £120.00 has just been sent off to the Support Programme.
27 November – 8 December
Year 11 did us all proud on their work experience fortnight. Every year a handful of students do exceptionally well but this year ALL the students had excellent reports. WELL DONE YEAR 11
Year 10 the challenge has been set.

Da Da Fest
Some of the pupils from the South Site attended the Da Da Fest and several took part. Three of the pupils won certificates for Media and another won an Animation award. One of our past pupils won an award for Art.
Well done to you all!
FOOTBALL
Bank View South 1 v Claremount 7
Bank
View South’s Key Stage 3 team had 4 players missing on the day and had to field
a weakened team. Claremount had some quick and skilful players and we were out
played in the first half with the score 4-0 at half time.
Bank View played better in the second half but lost 3 more goals before we scored near the end. Credit must go to those who played because they did give in. They tried hard and did not blame others. They deserved their goal at the end.
Bank View North 2 – Bank View South 3
Both defences played very well in this tight game and there were few chances on goal. DM made some great saves to keep his team in the game. Bank View North scored a goal in the second half to go 2-1 up against the run of play. However Bank View South kept trying and eventually won 3-2. We look forward to the return match.
Bank View South 5 v Crosby High 2
This game was for pupils in Key Stage 3. It was only the second game for the younger pupils and some still found it difficult to stay in their positions. However they played with enthusiasm and spirit and their ‘will to win’ proved decisive.
Crosby High 0 v Bank View South 10
Key Stage 4 pupils played the return match at Crosby and got off to a great start with a goal in the first minute of the game. It was all Bank View in the first half and our goalkeeper did not have a save to make. The score was 5-0 at half time. Crosby put both their subs on in the second half so we were playing against 13 players but we were too strong for them and scored another 5 goals to make it 10-0.
The
Christmas Bingo this year is being held on Thursday, 14 December at the ‘North’
